Dial *#06# on your phone. If an EID number appears alongside the IMEI, your phone supports eSIM. You can also check Settings, or search your exact model on this site.
My phone is not on the list. Can I still use an eSIM?
If your exact model isn't listed yet, search by model number, or use the *#06# check. eSIM support can also depend on the regional variant of your device.
Can I use an eSIM on an unlocked phone?
Yes. In fact you need an unlocked phone: a carrier-locked device cannot add an eSIM from another provider, even if the model supports eSIM.
Do iPhones bought in China, Hong Kong or Macao support eSIM?
iPhones from mainland China use dual physical SIM and do not support eSIM. Most Hong Kong and Macao models also lack eSIM, with a few exceptions. Always verify the specific model.
Can I keep my usual SIM and add an eSIM?
On most eSIM-capable phones, yes — you run your physical SIM and an eSIM at the same time (Dual SIM). Some newer models are eSIM-only.
